RO47018 Secure and Private Control

This is an introductory course to private and secure control for students with a systems and control background.

The course covers the following topics:

  1. Differential Privacy: definitions and applications to distributed optimization
  2. Cryptography: El Gamal and Paillier encryption, garbled circuits, secret sharing, and secure multiparty computation; control applications are also investigated.
  3. Security: security of cyber-physical systems is discussed together with the main vulnerabilities and possible defenses.
