This is an introductory course to private and secure control for students with a systems and control background.
The course covers the following topics:
- Differential Privacy: definitions and applications to distributed optimization
- Cryptography: El Gamal and Paillier encryption, garbled circuits, secret sharing, and secure multiparty computation; control applications are also investigated.
- Security: security of cyber-physical systems is discussed together with the main vulnerabilities and possible defenses.
